Financial Aid Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Aid Officer to join our team and help manage the financial aid process with integrity, empathy, and efficiency.

Position Summary

The Financial Aid Officer is responsible for assisting students and families in understanding, applying for, and receiving financial aid. This position involves evaluating financial aid applications, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing counseling to students about their financial options.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process financial aid applications (FAFSA, scholarships, grants, loans, etc.)
• Advise students and families on eligibility, application procedures, and financial planning
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies
• Verify documentation and update student financial records accurately
• Collaborate with admissions, registrar, and accounting departments to ensure smooth student experiences
• Stay up-to-date with changes in financial aid regulations and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Education, or related field
• Minimum of [2–3] years of experience in financial aid, higher education, or related field (Must)
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs, including Title IV regulations
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in student information systems (Microsoft Office)
• Commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent customer service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
