Asher College is now hiring a Financial Aid Representative at our growing campus in Sacramento. If you have financial aid experience and a strong desire to help students make education a reality, this may be the career move for you.

Essential Accountabilities

• Assists prospective or current students with the financial aid applications (FAFSA).
• Prepare an award letter based on the EFC received from the Department of Education.
• Conduct loan entrance and loan exit counseling.
• Communicate with Admissions Advisors throughout enrollment process regarding financial aid application status.
• Participate in the verification process for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications submitted to the Department of Education.
• Monitor (FAFSA) application process and follow-up with student with any inconsistencies.
• Prepare and transmit requests for disbursements to student tuition accounts.
• Monitor students for qualification for disbursements.
• Service and administrate financial aid and other funding sources for the campus.
• Use sound judgment when communicating with prospective students and applying appropriate policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• * Federal Financial Aid and Title 4 experience required. Salary negotiable based on experience.
• Minimum of two years Financial Aid experience in postsecondary education
• VA/SCO experience preferred.
• Passion to help others succeed.
• Strong work ethic.
• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to individuals and groups.
• Commitment to success of students and college.
• A positive solution-oriented mindset, willing to pitch in when necessary to help the team.
