Finance Director / Vice President (Higher Education) · Campus Director · Financial Aid
We are seeking a Finance Director to provide senior-level financial leadership, regulatory oversight, and fiscal integrity for a Title IV–eligible, for-profit higher education institution. This role has direct responsibility for budgeting, accounting, cash management, and financial reporting, with a strong focus on Title IV compliance and audit readiness.
This position is designed for advancement into Vice President or Campus Director leadership based on performance.
Financial Management & Budgeting

- Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets aligned with enrollment and financial aid projections
- Forecast tuition revenue, Title IV funding, and institutional cash flow
- Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-containment opportunities
- Provide financial analysis to support enrollment growth and program expansion
Title IV Financial Oversight & Compliance

- Oversee Title IV drawdowns, disbursements, reconciliations, and returns
- Ensure compliance with federal cash management regulations
- Monitor institutional eligibility metrics including composite score and 90/10 compliance
- Support federal program reviews, audits, and accreditor financial reviews
- Review and approve Title IV-related financial reporting and certifications
Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Oversee general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, and monthly close
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition for Title IV and institutional aid
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate annual financial statement and Title IV compliance audits
Internal Controls & Risk Management

- Maintain internal controls over federal and institutional funds
- Ensure audit-ready documentation and segregation of duties
- Identify financial and compliance risks and implement corrective actions
- Maintain policies and procedures aligned with federal regulations
Collaboration & Leadership

- Partner closely with the Financial Aid Director to ensure accurate aid packaging and reconciliation
- Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and Academic leadership to align enrollment and revenue
- Supervise finance and accounting staff, as applicable
- Report regularly to executive leadership on financial performance and compliance status
Executive Growth Opportunity

This role is intentionally structured for advancement into Vice President of Finance or Campus Director roles, with increased executive authority, operational oversight, and compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of financial leadership experience in higher education or a regulated environment
- Demonstrated Title IV compliance experience
- Strong GAAP, cash management, and audit knowledge
- Experience with accounting and student information systems
Preferred Qualifications
- For-profit higher education experience
- Familiarity with composite score calculations and financial responsibility standards
