Overview
As Director of Financial Aid, you lead the department within a career-focused college, ensuring compliant delivery of Title IV funds. You will partner with Admissions to drive recruitment and with campus teams to support retention and timely aid processing. You'll train and supervise staff, uphold high-quality customer service, and apply packaging policies to aid awards. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on compliance and process optimization to support student success. You will work with cross-functional partners to align financial aid with enrollment goals and institutional standards.
Responsibilities- Manage the Financial Aid Department and ensure compliance with governmental, accreditation, and institutional policies
- Collaborate with Admissions to support recruitment and with campus teams to aid retention and timely processing
- Supervise and train staff; deliver high-quality customer service in financial aid
- Award financial aid according to established packaging policies and regulations
- Coordinate financial aid delivery with Admissions to support recruiting and admissions strategies
- Prepare and monitor internal controls and reporting to maintain Title IV compliance
- Some evening and Saturday hours as required
- Title IV technical knowledge and skills for internal controls and compliance
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial aid experience
- Management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- CampusVue experience a plus
- Must not have any NSLDS restrictions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
