Role Description The Financial Aid Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH, responsible for managing and supporting the College’s student financial aid programs. This position evaluates student eligibility, processes financial aid applications, and verifies documentation in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. The role involves packaging and awarding aid, maintaining accurate records in financial aid systems, and monitoring student enrollment and academic progress for continued eligibility. The Financial Aid Administrator provides clear guidance to current and prospective students and families, conducts information sessions, and collaborates with admissions, registrar, and business office staff to ensure coordinated support. The role also assists with audits and reporting, stays current with regulatory changes, and contributes to continuous improvement of financial aid policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial aid processes, including FAFSA, federal and state regulations, and institutional aid policies.
  • Strong analytical, data entry, and record-keeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse student populations.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills that support compassionate, respectful, and inclusive interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with office and student information systems (e.g., financial aid management software, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools).
  • Ability to organize workload, manage multiple deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the mission and values of a Catholic, hospital-based institution of higher education.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, education, or a related field; relevant experience in higher education financial aid or student services preferred.
