Senior Financial Aid Administrator

Primary Objective
Meet with potential students to determine what they are eligible to receive in Financial Aid and have them financially packaged prior to class start. Collect documentation needed to ensure student files are compliant and complete. Work closely with third-party servicer Process all aid and ensure student graduates with a zero balance.
Responsibilities
Meet and greet students, discuss setting a financial aid appointment and advise them to complete the FAFSA accurately. Contact students prior to financial aid appt to ensure they have what they need to assist during the appointment.
Meet with potential students for a financial aid appointment to determine the student’s intention on how to pay for school. Check NSLDS and discuss with student their options. Present student with award letter and if agreeable, have student sign award letter, FA docs and have them complete MPN and EC.
Communicate with Admissions status of student visit after appointment is conducted and update student information system as applicable.
Set any follow up financial aid appointment for any additional documentation that may be required if necessary or have student submit via email within 2-3 days.
Submit all documents required to third-party system for review (Campus Ivy). Once verification is cleared, review file and award letter to ensure no changes need to be made. Notify student of any changes to their original award letter
At the start of a new class, enter all tuition and fees charges in student information system. Set-up award logs for funding for each student
Submit rosters to collections for any gap student payments,
Review monthly AR report to identify any gaps or students that need to be updated for completeness

Minimum Requirements
· Associate or Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred.
· Previous financial aid processing experience.
· Detail oriented.
· Excellent organization skills.
· Strong computer skills especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
