Minimum Experience Requirements
At least two to three years of financial aid (Title IV Funds) experience required
Reports to: Director
Job Overview: Assist students and parents in applying and receiving Financial Aid (Title IV Funding)
according to federal, state and institutional regulations.Counsel students regarding their financial aid award,perform entrance and exit interviews,Complete verification on selected students,Manage students information into software system to ensure accurate and timely arrival of funds.(Title IV Funds)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Meets with and counsels students, parents, and others to explain and discuss to details of the financial aid application and awarding processes, the laws and regulations governing the eligibility for and availability of federal, state, institutional and other relevant programs
- Utilizes federal, state and internal software to process financial aid
- Determine eligibility for federal, state, institutional, and other aid programs in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, guidelines and other governing criteria
- Formulates, produces and distributes financial aid award notifications and ensures that the financial aid that has been awarded is appropriately disbursed and credited to the students' accounts
- Develops and gathers appropriate materials, organizes and helps present student financial aid orientation programs, exit counseling, entrance interviews for students and their parents
- Assist other coworkers as needed in any function encompassed in the job description of the FAA
- Work with interdepartmental personnel to resolve problematic students
- Attend workshops, seminars and webinars for professional development
- Utilize Federal and State webinars to keep up to date with the new regulations

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
