Director of Financial Aid

Director of Financial Aid Job Summary: The Frontier Nursing University (FNU) Director of Financial Aid ensures the effective, compliant, and student-focused administration of all financial aid programs at the university. The Director will serve as the primary compliance officer for federal financial aid, mitigating regulatory risk and ensuring alignment with federal, state, and accreditation standards. This position has direct managerial responsibility and oversight for all FNU personnel in Financial Aid. Supervisor Responsibility: Supervises Financial Aid Department Duties and Responsibilities: The Director will serve as the institution's compliance authority for financial aid, ensuring that all policies and procedures meet federal, state, and accreditation requirements and minimize institutional risk. Keeping abreast of all policies and regulations governing the Federal Direct Loan Program and ensuring that the FNU stays in compliance of all applicable policies and regulations. The Director of Financial Aid must notify the CFO and President of any policy or regulation that would necessitate a change in school policy. The Director will ensure that aid delivery is student-centered, efficient, and equitable. Ensuring that all students, faculty, and administration of FNU are made aware of all new financial aid policies and regulations that affect them. Work directly with the independent auditors during the annual audit. Maintaining active memberships in applicable financial aid organizations, including NASFAA, and appropriate state organizations. Provide service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g. committees, workgroups), FNU sponsored activities (e.g. charity drives, community-outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g. presentations, professional organization committee work). Adhere to the elements of the Culture of Caring Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Technical skills, including database management and reporting Extensive knowledge and skills in financial aid, administration, and best practices in higher education Ability to inspire and to mentor staff Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required 10 years of demonstrated success in Financial Aid for higher education Management experience in financial aid or a closely related field preferred Physical Requirements: Extending periods of sitting Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer Work Location: Versailles, KY Eligible for Hybrid telecommuting agreement after 30 days of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
