Finance Manager - Mission Driven Organization - Onsite

In this role, you’ll partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to lead budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and strategic planning—driving financial stability and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management to support organizational goals.
- Track and report monthly financial and operational performance to leadership.
- Prepare for and support annual audits, including documentation and Form 990 filings.
- Develop and manage grant budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with City, County, Federal, and other funding regulations.
- Collaborate across teams to align financial resources with program and operational priorities.
- Maintain accurate fund accounting for restricted and unrestricted funds.
- Support day-to-day nonprofit accounting activities, month-end and year-end close processes.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and operational performance measurement.
- Support Adhoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in nonprofit accounting within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience managing grant budgets and compliance, including government funding and Uniform Guidance.
- ERP experience (Sage Intacct preferred) and advanced Excel skills, including complex reconciliations and financial analysis
- Proficiency in audit preparation and Form 990 filings.
- High level of accountability, independent judgment, and ability to work autonomously.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and systems-minded, with strong internal control awareness.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing hands-on execution with long-term financial planning.
