Overview

In this role you will oversee fund management and reporting for UNLV Financial Aid, ensuring accurate reconciliation across the SIS, Workday, G5 and COD systems. You will collaborate with multiple offices to monitor fund flows, prepare key annual reports, and support audits and fund disbursement accuracy. You'll generate regular insights on funding trends to inform leadership and help advance enrollment and student success. This position blends operations, analytics, and cross functional collaboration in a mission driven university setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and reconcile financial aid accounts across PeopleSoft, Workday, G5, and COD systems
• Collaborate to prepare the annual FISAP and Nevada Financial Aid Data Report
• Produce budget and fiscal matter reports for DFAS and AVP
• Prepare reconciliation reporting for state funds (e.g., Millennium Scholarships, Teach NV)
• Run queries and maintain reports on funding types and disbursements
• Finalise and close fiscal year accounts
• Serve as primary liaison with Grants & Contracts, Cashiering, Student Accounts, and Controller's Office to resolve accounting issues
• Return funds as appropriate (private loans, external scholarships)
• Support audit preparation and respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders
• Fulfill data requests from UNLV and external entities as needed
• Assist in ad hoc reporting including skip tracing / identity theft investigations for student loan servicers

Key requirements

• Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
• 3-5 years of related professional experience
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• 1-3 years of management experience
• Account management or direct accounting for diverse fund types
