Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Director of Financial Aid to join our team.

Skills Required

• Experience administering Direct Loans and PELL in a post-secondary institution
• Knowledge of Title IV Student Financial Aid with specific knowledge of Direct Loan Programs and PELL Grants
• Experience with clock hour programs
• Ability to meet deadlines and goals
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Team-player, attentive to detail, responsible
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Proficient with computers including Microsoft office suite
• Must have knowledge of current Department of Education regulations to ensure proper handling of funds.
• Ability to work independently
• Completes quarterly and yearly Federal government reports.

Financing

• Meet with prospective students
• Determine eligibility /acceptance of aid package
• Awarding
• Request Disbursements
• Disburse aid Direct Loan / Pell Grants
• Cross check disbursements entered into student ledgers for accuracy
• Compile daily tuition deposits
• Monitor Tuition Payments due weekly
• Collections process
• Process Drops
• Conduct Exit Interview and collect documentation including Exit Loan Counseling for students who withdraw
• Complete R2T4 worksheet for Title IV Aid students who withdraw
• Ensure failed Satisfactory Academic Progress evaluations are reviewed

Reporting & Compliance

• Must have experience completing IPEDS
• Campus Crime Annual Report
• 1098-T’s to student and IRS
• Must have experience on Gainful Employment reporting
• Must have experience working on NSLDS updates
• Sam.gov
• Default management
• COA surveys & Budgets
• Must have experience working with auditor to complete USDOE Compliance Audit

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
