Responsibilities
- Cultivating positive, supportive relationships within the Financial Aid team, including the Student Account Specialists.
- Working closely with lending institutions, guarantee agencies and regulatory entities while building strong relationships with other campus departments and university administration.
- Engaging, motivating, and building an effective team.
- Reacting and adjusting quickly to change, developing practical ideas for issue resolution and collaborating in a customer‑focused manner with Admissions, Registrar and Student Affairs.
- Actively serving on the campus management team and overall university financial aid leadership team, working with the UA team responsible for repacks to resolve complex or escalated student issues.
- Overseeing the campus Student Account function, including collections on payment plans, providing tuition reimbursement documentation, VA billing, and external partner billing statements.
- Monitoring enrollment and retention activities and goals, evaluating key indicators to forecast work volume, establishing resource plans, and communicating these to the campus Executive Director and VP of Student Financial Services for approvals and execution.
Experience
- 10 years of customer service experience.
- 7 years of financial aid experience.
- 5 years of financial aid focused leadership experience.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
