
The selected applicant will be a flexible, hands-on professional who is well-versed in all aspects of the Financial Aid function. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, needs analysis, counseling, documentation, problem resolution, packaging, regulatory compliance, reporting requirements, resolution of discrepancies, and reconciliation of funds for a diverse clientele and s/he should be comfortable mentoring and training subordinates. Additionally, the Director will oversee the various federal, state and local government financial aid programs, scholarships, grants and veterans’ benefits. Strong technical knowledge of related software applications, excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as Department of Education processing and reporting requirements are, likewise, required. Critical to the positional requirements is the ability to devote evening and weekend hours as dictated by the varying responsibilities of the position.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years’ progressively responsible experience which demonstrates knowledge, understanding and competency in administering and complying with all relevant federal and state programmatic regulations. Preference will be given to those applicants with four to five years of experience and a demonstrated knowledge of monetary forecasting and revenue projection.
