About the Role

The SHS Group LLC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Cosmetology School Financial Aid Representative to join our dynamic team in Brick, NJ. In this exciting role, you will assist students in navigating financial aid processes, ensuring they have the support they need to achieve their dreams in the beauty industry.

Job Description

• Must have knowledge of current Department of Education regulations to ensure proper handling of funds.

Finance

● Accept & record student payments

● Monthly Billing for currently attending students

● Send disbursement sheets and progress reports to students

● Update CL with Award Docs

Document Verification

● Accurate Placement Order for Student Files

Reporting & Compliance

● At least once yearly, attend financial aid training (webinars or onsite)

● Compile data for Program Review if Academy is selected to complete a review

Lead

● Meet with leads and provide financial aid estimate

● Assist with FAFSA /ISIR collected

● Review Estimate with student

● Parent Plus Loan consent to obtain credit (if necessary)

Student

● Entrance Loan Counseling completed & documented, and student acknowledgement

● Master Promissory Note collected

● Verification worksheet complete if applicable

● Verify Satisfactory Academic Progress

● Leave of Absence

● Conduct Exit Interview and collect documentation including Exit Loan Counseling for graduates

● Collect over contract fees if applicable

● Post payment period charges

Audits

● Work with Director and Director of Financial Aid to the necessary documents/files

● Report to Financial Aid Director

Work Schedule

• Reports to the Operations Director or Owner
• Full time position
• 5 days a week
