Job Description
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee the strategic and operational management for one of our clients Financial Aid Office. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing student access, and driving institutional goals related to enrollment and retention.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of financial aid programs, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and institutional policies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Partner with IT to manage annual system configurations and integrations across platforms such as PeopleSoft, Ellucian, Colleague, Touchnet, StarRes, and Federal Perspective Content.
- Utilize Excel and other tools to conduct data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting with precision.
- Collaborate across departments and serve on campus-wide committees to support institutional initiatives.
- Design and implement policies that promote student success and retention.
- Champion financial accessibility through proactive outreach and student-centered communication.
- Drive innovation in operational processes and technology adoption.
- Support HR-related tasks and workflows using Paycom.
- Contribute to academic calendar planning and ensure readiness for the quarter system.
- Maintain rigorous compliance standards and prepare for audits and federal reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a college or university financial aid setting, ideally at the Director or Assistant Director level.
- Strong mentoring and team-building capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of financial aid regulations and program administration.
- Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with quarter-based academic calendars is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial aid systems including PeopleSoft, Ellucian, Colleague, Touchnet, StarRes, and federal platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a student-first mindset.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are required.
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
