Finance Manager
About the Role
We’re seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of our financial operations and ensure the company’s fiscal health. In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee cash flow, budgeting, compliance, and reporting while driving efficiency and accuracy across all financial processes. Your expertise will help shape strategy, strengthen internal controls, and support our continued growth.
What You’ll Do
Financial Leadership
- Manage daily financial activities, including general ledger, cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and banking relationships.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow to maintain a strong financial position.
- Ensure timely, accurate processing of payables and receivables, including lien waiver compliance.
- Foster collaborative relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams through a servant-leadership approach.
Analysis & Strategy
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and performance reports to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including WIP reporting and job cost reviews.
- Develop annual budgets and conduct variance analysis to highlight risks and growth potential.
- Implement process improvements and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure financial health and operational performance.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Maintain strong internal controls to manage risk and safeguard assets.
- Oversee accurate general ledger reconciliations and system integrity.
- Support internal and external audits with timely documentation and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 7+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in construction.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and construction billing practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Viewpoint preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
