ROLE OVERVIEW
Monroe College Office of Student Financial Aid consist of financial aid, student account, and office of loan management. The candidate will serve as a support for all aspects of Student Financial Services (SFS) including staff and students. Provide information and guidance for the student populations through varies communication (emails, phone, in-person, and virtually).
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills as this person will be the front desk contact. This position requires a lot of multitasking and working independently at a high level as the responsibilities encompass multiple areas.
· Provide high standards of professionalism
· Provide Customer service/support in a fast-paced environment
· Assist students with inquiries relating to financial aid and student accounts.
General Responsibilities
· Greet and assist visitors, students and their families in the office
· Answer the main phone lines and respond to student’s inquiries
· Assist and support the Financial Aid Team
· Inform the students of missing or incomplete documents
· Collect and scan incoming student’s documents
· Review student’s billing statement and inform the students of any balances or refund
· Monitor daily financial aid general e-mail (review and answer or escalate as needed)
· Monitor daily electronic faxes
· Monitor daily voicemail and return any voicemails
· Provide administrative support to the financial aid office such as: calling the student but not limited to.
· Document daily staff attendance
· Enter Ability-to-Benefit Test Results
· Enter FERPA and Federal Authorization Forms
· Monitor daily Zoom Virtual Sessions
· Assist in planning and development of new projects as assigned by the Department Head
· Assist with special events
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree required
Computer proficiency including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and database software is required
General knowledge of Federal and State regulations preferred
Familiar with Ellucian – Colleague System preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
