Step into a new role as the Manager, Financial Operations - IT within Qualcomm IT's Office of the CIO This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead the charge in strengthening and transforming IT Business Operations. Working closely with the CIO, IT Leadership and Finance, you will spearhead the IT Business Operations processes and systems capabilities and the related improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will support the Director of Business Operations in the Office of the CIO department. You will help facilitate the orchestration of business operations for Qualcomm IT globally on a day-to-day basis of financial management, including by identifying, developing, implementing and managing initiatives to enable and enhance IT decisions, ongoing transparency and effectiveness. This role is pivotal in creating scalable, efficient, and flexible business operations processes, system solutions and metrics that contribute to the success of Qualcomm.
Position requires to be onsite in San Diego full time. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- OR 8+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience leading projects/programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the critical procurement, finance, and project portfolio analysis, day-to-day operations, and process and systems improvements.
- Facilitate a cross-functional capabilities of creating and tracking budgets throughout the year based on IT's strategic objectives and operational benchmarks.
- Provide a prudent review of IT finance operations and guide others in the review process.
- Conduct the process financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making, enable solutions that lead to further scalability and effectiveness of the process.
- Evaluate existing processes, gather requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions working cross-functionally with IT and Business Partners.
- Assist in the creation of standard KPIs, templates, and other artifacts.
- Help develop executive-level communications.
- Utilize data analysis techniques and solutions to identify trends and patterns.
The ideal candidate will have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- 7+ years of related business process analysis experience.
- 3+ years of work experience interacting with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
- 3+ years of experience working with IT operating budgets and/or project financials.
- Expert in: Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SQL, Tableau.
- Strong verbal as well as written communication skills, especially for executive-level audiences.
- Proven track record in leading matrixed teams.
- Structured approach, ability to break down complex issues, strong organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset to generate insights out of any kind of data.
- Willingness to take ownership of issues and ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress in order to deliver solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience in Finance, Information Technology, Program Management, Engineering Operations, or related work.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing complex data sets.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- 4+ years of experience in a large matrixed organization.

Pay Range and Other Compensation & Benefits
$118, $226,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales‑incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
