Description
Snow College seeks a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as Executive Director of Access and Outreach, a pivotal role charged with advancing the College's enrollment and access goals through integrated recruitment, outreach, and student access strategies. This position provides executive oversight of Admissions, including application processing and domestic recruitment; strategic utilization of financial aid and scholarships to support access and recruitment objectives; and coordination of international student recruitment efforts in partnership with the Center for Global Engagement.
Serving as the Acting Director of Admissions, the Executive Director of Access and Outreach will oversee both recruitment and application processing functions while aligning efforts across multiple units to create a seamless, student-centered pathway from prospect to enrollment. A core expectation of this role is the strategic use of enrollment data and the College's CRM to inform decision-making, optimize outreach, and deliver personalized, data-informed communication that enhances access, engagement, and enrollment outcomes.
The Executive Director serves as a member of the Student Affairs Executive Leadership Team and plays a critical role in shaping institution-wide enrollment strategy. Reports to: Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education admissions operations, enrollment management, and/or sales and marketing.
- Demonstrated experience using data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and improve outcomes.
- Experience successfully leading teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in higher education administration, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience supervising admissions, financial aid, scholarship, or recruitment-related functions.
- Demonstrated experience using CRM systems and enrollment data to support recruitment strategy, forecasting, and prospect communications.
- Professional experience in sales, marketing, or business development, particularly in roles requiring relationship-building, pipeline management, and performance-based outcomes.
Major Responsibilities/Duties
Admissions and Enrollment Leadership
- Serve as acting Director of Admissions, providing strategic oversight of admissions recruitment and processing functions, each led by Managers.
- Lead the strategic use of the College's CRM platform and enrollment data systems as central enrollment management tools, supporting recruitment planning, application tracking, forecasting, and yield strategies.
- Oversee enrollment data tracking across the recruitment funnel, including inquiry generation, applications, admits, yield, and matriculation, to support proactive and informed decision-making.
- Analyze enrollment trends, pipeline performance, and market indicators to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging student populations.
- Ensure consistent and effective CRM utilization across admissions teams to manage prospect, applicant, and admitted student pipelines.
- Establish workflows, standards, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and alignment with institutional enrollment goals.
- Partner with reporting, institutional research, and technology teams to develop dashboards, reports, and predictive insights that guide operational adjustments and long-term enrollment strategy.
- In partnership with the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, oversee the College's strategic enrollment plan and coordination efforts.
Access, Outreach, and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate a comprehensive, integrated approach to access and outreach that aligns admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and global recruitment efforts.
- Use enrollment and affordability data to help identify and reduce barriers to access for diverse student populations.
- Ensure prospective students receive clear, coordinated messaging and support related to affordability, financial assistance, access, and enrollment pathways.
Recruitment Strategy and Prospective Student Engagement
- Oversee all aspects of prospective student outreach and recruitment in coordination with reporting teams and stakeholders across campus.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies informed by enrollment data, market analysis, and CRM insights to expand access and attract new and emerging student audiences, including traditional, nontraditional, online, and international students.
- Guide the planning and execution of recruitment travel, events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives aligned with enrollment priorities and data-informed goals.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with regional education partners, including school district superintendents, high school principals, counselors, and other key influencers, to support recruitment pipelines, dual and concurrent enrollment, early outreach, and college access initiatives.
Recruitment Marketing, Communications, and Promotional Outreach
- Oversee the development and execution of CRM-driven, segmented communication plans for prospective students across all stages of the enrollment funnel.
- Ensure recruitment communications leverage CRM capabilities for personalization, automation, and timing to increase engagement, application completion, and enrollment yield.
- Partner with the College's marketing partner and the Creative Services Department to align recruitment marketing campaigns with enrollment data, CRM communication flows, and prospect behavior insights.
- Use CRM analytics and enrollment performance metrics-including engagement, conversion rates, and yield-to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment marketing efforts and inform strategic adjustments.
- Ensure consistent, compelling, and student-centered messaging across digital, print, and in-person recruitment channels.
Institutional Leadership and Governance
- Provide direct supervision and strategic leadership to the Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Director of the Center for Global Engagement, the Admissions Processing Manager, and the Admissions Recruitment Manager.
- Serve as a member of the Student Affairs Executive Leadership Team, contributing to division-wide planning, policy development, and strategic decision-making informed by enrollment data and trends.
- Report directly to the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
- Serve on and lead institutional committees, task forces, and working groups related to outreach, recruitment, enrollment planning, and student success initiatives.
