Financial Aid Officer II

Under the administrative supervision of designated administrator, assist in the administration of the financial aid program by reviewing financial aid applications, performing need analysis, determining federal, state and institutional aid eligibility and awarding financial aid funds in accordance with Federal, State and USNH rules, regulations and policies. This position also has as a second primary responsibility substantial and daily interaction with UNH prospective and current students and their families. This position is located on our Manchester campus.

Job Duties

  • Review financial aid applications for accuracy of income and asset information; make corrections as needed.
  • Perform federal need analysis using professional judgment, federal regulations and institutional guidelines and policies.
  • Determine federal, state and institutional student aid eligibility and appropriately award such aid, if students meet qualifications.
  • Advising student and parents regarding the financial aid process, types of available aid, eligibility and award determinations as well as policy interpretations.
  • Perform special projects and be responsible for specific aid programs, as assigned. This includes being the office expert on more than one specific program, serving as the lead on at least one program and the primary backup on at least one program. This also includes acting as the primary and secondary liaison with University and non-University offices and departments.
  • Meet with various groups on and off campus; present financial literacy information to constituents both on campus and throughout the state of New Hampshire.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualificaitons

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience in financial aid administration.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal financial aid processes, regulations and need analysis.

Compensation Pay Range

$41,890.00 - $74,390.00
